Ethics

No, that’s not a scientific dissertation. For the purpose of Alternative Human Community, I’ll focus on just two aspects of ethics.

Knowing that:

1/ Every living organism experiences pain, hunger, thirst, injustice and deprivation the same way as you and I. Harm experienced produces a reaction of every living organism (meaning a person, animal, plant or the Earth).

2/ Doing what’s right, fair and good – in any area! – makes us feel good.

The basic and minimal ethical standards are:

1/ Be empathetic and compassionate! Don’t act on pity, but empathy. Treat every life the way you’d like to be treated.

“Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.” Robin Williams

2/ Do what you know is right, fair and good as often as you can. (Who would like to be raised for meat?… Raise your hand OR cut down on your meat consumption.)

Treat others well and you’ll feel good, too.
